"Must Eat" in Baguio City, Philippines

Who doesn't love strawberries?!?! Those red, big, sweet strawberries are so irresistible!!
 Best place to find strawberries in the Philippines is in Baguio City. Its 5 hours drive from Manila by car. Cool place to stay especially on December. Lots of people go there just to relax because of the weather there.
Well anyway, it is a MUST to try there strawberries. You could also go to the strawberry farm and pick your own strawberries.

Here also inside the Camp John Hay is the famous chocolate drink. Its from pure chocolate! not the typical chocolate that you also have, this is different.

Best Ginseng Chicken Soup in Seoul

If your planning to go to Seoul, Korea Toksochon is a "must eat" place! Healthy yet delicious!Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup).

GINSENG CHICKEN SOUP
the best i've tasted so far. At first I'm scared to try it because there's ginseng! First sip, I was WOW! this is really yummy! I want to drink it all but I have to share it boohu.. I could drink this EVERYDAY! Still finding that kind of soup here in Manila can't find a restaurant who's serving that kind. :(

Baked Fish

Always fried or grilled fish?? Here's a great recipe to be healthy! 





Recipe:

1 can of Hunts Stewed tomatoes
1 bell pepper  julienne
Dory Fish Fillet
salt and pepper to taste


Preheat the oven to 300'
1. First cook the fish in the skillet , under cook it.
2. Remove the fish. Stir fry the chopped garlic, onions , bell pepper and a can of Hunts Stewed tomatoes.
3. Add the fish on the stir fried vegetables.
4. Put the skillet pan on the preheated oven. cooked it for 20mins or less depending on the heat of the oven.

Deep Fried Oreos for dessert

Who loves Oreos?! Here's a great recipe for you guys to try. Its simple and easy to make! :)
This is what comfy food should be. Hot ,soft Oreos top with rich vanilla ice cream.

 RECIPE:
1 cup Pancake Mix (any brand)
Oreo

1. See instructions on how to make pancakes on the pancake box.
2. Heat the oil at least a cup.
3. Fold in the Oreos in the pancake mix

 the batter should be a little bit thick so that the batter would stick to the Oreo

when you put the Oreo in the oil count for 10seconds and turn it on the other side

Salcedo Market

The Salcedo Market is always open every Saturday from 7am - 2pm. This is a great place to buy organic vegetables, fruits and fresh seafood. Those food that they are selling are homemade.




The first that you will see when you walk in, you'll see fresh herbs! oregano, rosemary, peppermint , basil and other plants. Some herbs cost 50 pesos only! really cheap. :)

I really like the Squid Ink Paella but if you don't like the squid ink they also have the original paella , its a little bit pricey but ts worth it! Here is the  number you can order and pick up.


Here's me done shopping :) I bought fresh shiitake mushrooms half kilo for only 200 pesos and brussels sprouts i forgot how much.

My cousin and her friend they bought Grilled Boneless Bangus( milk fish) for only 150 pesos.
Hope we can go back there soon. Food Trip! :)

creamy dory lemon dill sauce with mash potato recipe



My first attempt in making a lemon dill sauce and it was a success!yey! I love the fried dory fillet, its crispy at the outside yet soft inside. Perfect! :)




Recipe:


Fish:

2 whole fillet dory fish

Heat the skillet pan, add oil. Pat the fillet with a kitchen tissue, this would make the fish not stick on the pan. Combine flour and black pepper. Cook in a medium heat. Let it brown. Don't over-cook it will be dry.

Mash Potato:


4 medium sized potato, boiled
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup milk

Mash the potatoes. Combine milk, butter, salt and pepper. **You can also add garlic power or dill if you want.

Lemon Dill Sauce:


chopped dill
2tbsp lemon
1/4 cup cream
salt and pepper to taste
2tbsp butter

Heat the pan. Melt the butter. Add the dill , cream, lemon , salt and pepper. Let it simmer and serve.
