Praktik Bakery

One of my favorite bakery in Barcelona!
Its our first week in Barcelona and all we can see are sandwiches and tapas around our place. Good thing we found a great place to get fresh sandwiches!
Its a Hotel and they have there own bakery! They make fresh bread everyday and you can see them make it when dining there. This is a wonder place to relax and have a sandwich or dessert + a cup of coffee.

**Tip- sit beside the glass door where they are baking bread and see how they make those wonderful croissants and maybe you can get a free treat from the man making :P

oh! and also, they have free WIFI :)

Hotel Praktik Bakery
Carrer de Provença, 279, 08037 Barcelona
opens Monday- Sunday

Price: $$ (average)  3 euros for sandwich

Hola! Welcome to Barcelona!

wee! Its my first time stepping in any part of Europe! Hola!!!
I'm currently taking up my 8 months certificate of Alain Ducasse in Culinary Arts.
I will be having my internship here for 6 months at Hotel Majestic.

Well, anyway I will be giving some tips here in like what tickets will you be buying for the Metro or Bus. What useful apps you need to have on your phone. What are the restaurants that we tried that are worth coming back. and more!

So first Metro/ Bus ticket that you need to buy if your staying here in Barcelona.
If you traveling for a few days or a week here with a group, its better to buy the T-10 ticket. Everyone can use this ticket for 10 rides.  If you hop off on a wrong stop, you can transfer metro or bus within an hour with no charge. It cost  9.95 euros.
If your staying here for more than 3 months like me and your age is 25 years old and below, its better to buy the T- Jove. Its valid for 3 months already and unlimited rides! Its around 105 euros.
you can buy your tickets at the all the train station. Here is the link for the other options you can buy.

Best chocolate cake!

I found the best chocolate cake! so far.. I tried a lot of chocolate cakes and cupcakes but this one is the best! Its moist, chocolaty, not so sweet, and light! The ganache is made from tablea (pure chocolate).
Just seeing this makes me drool and want to have it right now! This can be found at..(drum roll please) Cafe Adriatico!

Café Adriatico
M. Adriatico Street, Remedios Circle, Malate , Manila

Phone: 738-8220

The second best chocolate cake is  also made from Tablea (pure chocolate). Its not so sweet but rich. This can be found at Chocolat : Death by Tablea. Click the link to know their contact numbers.

Binulo : Pampanga

BINULO means bamboo. Here's a unique place to eat in Pampanga.

MENU 1

                                                                        MENU 2

MENU 3

 DESSERT AND BEVERAGES MENU

MUST TRY!!! Pangat na Ulang!
The jumbo shrimps are cooked in bamboo! The broth taste delicious! I think it has lemon grass on it.

SISIG ( mix of pork ears, fats and skin, etc..), you can skip this. Not crunchy at all! burnt sisig. There are more delicious sisig in town.

another MUST TRY! Kaldaretang Kambing (goat). Does't taste or smell anything like a goat, it taste like beef!

MUST TRY also! Paco Salad with Ginisang Hipon and Pititian ( fiddlehead fern with shrimps and pork rinds).
A different kind of salad. Interesting taste. The fiddlehead fern is a bit slimy after but the sauce that comes with it taste so good, it removes the slimy texture after.

Kinilaw na Bangus (milkfish) SKIP THIS!! over powering taste of vinegar, makes you vomit!

Binulong Nasi (cooked in banana leaves and served in a bamboo shoot). Nothing special, its just sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves.
